#NISSAN 300ZX ECU DIAGNOSTIC CODE#
Then a long pause, then the next code (or the same again if there’s only one). The code is a two-digit number, represented by a series of long blinks for the first digit, immediately followed by a series of quick blinks for the second digit. If you can’t seem to find it, fish around behind the trim piece a little, as it may have popped off its post in the past. It’s a gray connector on the driver’s side right next to the hood pull lever. Where is the consult connector on a Nissan 300ZX? Surely one hadn’t failed in the 3,000 miles since then. However, I replaced the fuel injectors during the original overhaul of the car. Now, it’s no secret for those familiar with ‘90s Zs that the fuel injectors are a common failure point. Why did I replace the fuel injectors on my ZS? Two row tail lights (brakes on top, turn and reverse lights on bottom) similar to 280ZX. Sealed headlight (6054 style) with thinner fog/driving light next to it. The Z31 can be classified in 2 major groups. Mode I (all the way counter-clockwise) is normal operation. The dial has two positions: Mode I and Mode II. Next to it is a small dial with a slot called a potentiometer. On the ECU itself is a red LED diagnostics mode light.
Don’t over-turn it, it doesn’t take much effort to turn at all, and the light will turn off. Turn the potentiometer on the ECU all the way to the right (clockwise). Turn the key to the “ON” position (don’t start it). Remove the four 10mm bolts holding the wooden ECU cover down, and remove the wooden cover. Plate light strip says “300ZX TURBO” and is gray.
